Skal Certification for Heebink Extended

We are pleased to announce that J. Heebink is now also certified for the import of organic food products. This means we can offer you even more comprehensive services, from import to storage and transport of organic food products.

What is Skal?
Skal is an independent organisation that oversees the organic chain in the Netherlands and certifies companies with organic activities. Skal ensures that the organic production, processing, and trade of products comply with EU organic regulations. This is done on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality.

Skal and Heebink

Since J. Heebink aims to tap into the growth of the Food valley region and meet the needs of our customers as effectively as possible, we have decided to extend our certification from storage to also include import.

The term “import” refers to products (organic or otherwise) physically coming from outside the EU and being declared for entry within the EU. Now that J. Heebink is certified for import, customers can also choose to list J. Heebink as the first consignee on the e-COI. J. Heebink performs the required entry checks, documents, and handles the process in TRACES.

Additionally, J. Heebink can take care of all aspects of the export/import of your organic food products, with the support of our skilled customs staff.
